Where

The district around Sorrento at Dalveen

The village of Dalveen is the commencement of the GRANITE BELT FRUIT RUN and is home to 90 residents. Those few locals manage to host a supper club every Friday evening at the Dalveen Hall, to which visitors are always welcome. Enjoy a home cooked meal, a drink at the bar & a game of pick the joker, but don’t be late.

The Granite Belt District has been known as the home of fruits and wines since the Italians first made the foray to orchards as a sustainable alternative to Stanthorpe tin mining in the late 1800’s. A natural progression has since led to thriving industries such as cheese-making, olive growing, and large scale strawberry and mushroom growing and you can take your place in these ventures.
